There is a huge range of binoculars to choose from these days - you can pay anywhere from $30 or less to $3,000 or more. I needed a reasonably priced pair with professional features that I could "grow up" with and use for years. After a lot of research and product comparisons, I bought the Gosky EagleView 10x42 ED binoculars. I have found that they have similar features and components to well known brands that cost 2-3 times more. I wanted them primarily for my upcoming New Zealand vacation. But after five minutes of testing at home, I knew I had made the right choice. This product has a wide field of view and high magnification, providing a clear image whether you focus on objects that are 20 meters away or several kilometers away. They have adjustable eyecups that allow you to see with or without glasses, and they also fit users like my wife with long lashes. We live on a ridge overlooking a valley with beautiful wide views. These high definition binoculars allow us to see things in detail that we have never seen before. We saw cockatoos and kookaburras nesting and flying, as well as kangaroos galloping through the fields (yes, I'm in Australia). We also enjoyed close-up shots of distant lakes, forests, and mountains. We can now get up close and personal with the kangaroos in the lower enclosure, over 500 meters away. We watched the deer and Joey graze out of their pouch as if they were right in front of us. Once you start using these binoculars, things get very exciting! The EagleView is not only powerful, but also well constructed and durable. And it's the perfect size and weight too. That's what I initially feared. Based on the pictures online I assumed they were a lot longer and a bit heavier than some of the other models. But in use they are very comfortable to hold and come with a padded neck strap. Speaking of accessories, rubber front and rear lens caps are included in the box, while the outward-facing caps flip open. down, but remain attached to the binoculars for convenience. There's also a lens cleaner, microfiber cloth, smartphone adapter and a handy pouch with a strap to carry everything. A smartphone adapter is a good idea, but it didn't suit me. I had to take my iPhone case off every time I wanted to shoot a video and it was too much of a hassle. But one accessory I would recommend is a tripod. When looking at objects from a distance, you may find that your hands are shaking so badly that it affects your vision. There are a number of tripod adapters that are suitable for the EagleView and allow attachment to any standard tripod. It made all the difference for me. I highly recommend a tripod if you intend to use the binoculars for long periods of time and especially for long-distance viewing. One thing you rarely think about is the company behind the product. This is another plus of Goski. Before purchasing, I had questions and needed advice, and the company representative answered in detail. Even after I bought the binoculars, the company gave me good support. There's a lot to love about Gosky's EagleView binoculars, including the price. Like everyone, you get what you pay for, but in this case you get a lot more for your money.
