I successfully brewed my first batch of beer. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The brewing process is quite lengthy, but that's always the case. Equipment is basic but sufficient for beginners. The beer is quite interesting. Straight out of the 6-week brewing process, it tastes very similar to Belgian Dubbel, with a pleasant sweetness and vanilla-oak aroma, but without the overpowering hops. However, I left one bottle for a few months and it turned out to be a good IPA with very strong hops and fizz and no sweetness at all. I still smell some vanilla, but very faintly.
