They have a washer like bearing between the two halves. This should eliminate the metal to metal wear I have on my old hinges that causes the tailgate to fall off. Very easy to change. open the doors At least shadow the doors. Replace hinges. Once the first is swapped out, it keeps the two doors straight and the rest of the hinges in the same breath.
