Bought a Noctua NF-P12 redux-1300rpm fan for my very old Thermalright Heatpipe CPU cooler. It's more than quiet enough not to be heard in a PC case, and I get great temperatures on my old i5-3570S running at a standard 3.4GHz, all cores. Ambient temperature in my hot, muggy Florida is currently 88Β°F (31.1Β°C) with 67% humidity. The temperature "feels like" 102F! When using CoreTemp, the idle CPU temperature fluctuates between 33 Β°C and 41 Β°C. After half an hour of stress testing the Prime95 processor, the maximum temperature reached 61-65Β°C on 4 cores. tj Max for this processor is 103C. Because this fan allows my old heatsink to work just as well, you can rest assured that it will work great in your system as well.
