If you're looking at a not-so-bright indicator that's meant to distract you and the alarm isn't loud enough to interrupt your work, this could be the perfect indicator! The intensity of the light is very subtle, peaceful, soothing, it's almost hard to tell if it's on or off. Great if you really don't want annoying warnings to distract you. The beep is nice and quiet, so you don't need to stick tape on it to make it quieter. I wouldn't call it reassuring, but I certainly wouldn't call it disturbing.
