Ridiculous but worth the money

You get what you expect from a $15 knife (bought on lightning sale). It's thick and heavy, the handle is awkward, and the workmanship is questionable. But it's $15, the blade is straight, the geometry isn't bad for a big ol' knife like this, and it's easy to sharpen. I doubt it will stay sharp for long. I wish they could tell you what type of steel it is, but whatever it is, it's very soft and easy to sharpen. He lifted the ridge like three strokes on a whetstone. It's soft enough that you can use the sharpening rod without fear of chipping. Sometimes it's just nice to have a thick knife, and $15-$20 a piece seems like a good deal.
