Not the tightest fit.
It's hard to believe that everyone is saying these cages are too narrow. I have different types of water bottles and they all fit freely in these cages. All of them. Today I rode my road bike down a gravel road and looked down a few times and the bottles were half out of their cages. I wish they were closer. I wouldn't put her on a mountain bike. Inserting and removing the bottle is very easy and with little or no resistance from the cage.
