This is the second 4 gallon Stanley I have in the shop. I like the suction power and reliability. I lent the first one to a friend who somehow managed to destroy the switch. I replaced it with something else, but in the end I decided to buy a new one. The biggest downside to this new one is that you can practically read the metal on the outer case. It's MUCH thinner and crackles when I pull the vacuum. My guess is that eventually the dents will break and I'll have to fix them with tape. I think Stanley was crazy to use thin metal for the case.
