You can't call it waterproof!

I made this while on vacation in Cancun and we had trouble rolling it up and closing it since we did a lot of water and beach swimming. I've used waterproof bags a lot in the past, but I've always rented them, so I know how to use them. I'm a former infantry soldier trained in the jungle and I know how to waterproof gear. I chose this one and was totally disappointed that it doesn't hold any air. No matter how much/little this bag has been put into, or how many times I've folded and folded it with the clip closed, it will find a way to unfold, allowing it to be deflated, releasing almost all of the air. When worn with a strap (which is handy) and snug against the body or under the arm, I noticed it unfold and release air. For this reason it is not waterproof, only water-repellent. I've used it in the rain and by a small waterfall, but have refused to take it to a body of water or a stream. I didn't trust it to keep my personal belongings dry and found myself constantly checking and refolding it. bottom line! If it doesn't keep the air tight, water will get in. Where the bag and bottom meet the seams became frayed and this was also a problem as the bag was only used for 5 days with no mishandling. No misunderstanding! This bag is made of high quality material. It just takes a little more work.
