I bought this lens because of the price and need for a better portrait lens. I was impressed. The more I shoot with it, the clearer its value becomes. It was a worthwhile purchase. I've never heard of this brand but took a chance and was rewarded. I have to agree with other shooters that he can be quite hesitant about autofocus, almost pretending to know himself. In manual mode it's easy to get in place and just as fast. Seems to work better outdoors and brightens up footage. I find it surprisingly sharp with incredible depth of field and bokeh that wows clients. It may not be a big brand, but I don't feel like I'm missing out.
