I tried Mr. Coffee with timer and clock but couldn't buy one. This device came up in my internet search and I bought it without realizing it was NOT Mr. Kaffee. This is a BASIC device, no clock, no auto shut off, no timer. No frills, but it works well. I actually figured out how to clean a coffee maker that was having trouble pumping water from the tank into the coffee grounds. Apparently, very often the inlet hose is clogged with mineral deposits, so the machine gurgles but does not pump water into the grounds basket. You can solve this problem with a thorough cleaning. You can disassemble the device, but it can be a little tricky. I settled on white vinegar and ran a few cups through the system several times. Use the coffee filter in the coffee grounds basket to catch dirt particles that the vinegar dissolves. Let the vinegar cool and run it a few times and you'll see the sediment clog up in the hose if you look into the filter in the basket. Repeat this as many times as necessary until the machine runs properly. Pour out the vinegar solution and rinse several times with clean, warm (not cold or hot) water to remove the vinegar. Your coffee maker will work much better. You need to do this from time to time to keep the water line clean.
