This is our second pair of panties of this style. We bought a size 7-8 for my 9 year old who is 55lbs and he thought they were too small so we bought the next one Size like 9/10 and they are a bit loose otherwise they fit and look good. It takes a while to get used to not having mesh underwear inside, but overall these are good swim shorts.
