I bought this welder to replace some 18650 batteries. With the nickel strips that came with it, it could barely weld at the highest settings out of the box. I've heard the 220v version works better, but this 110v version is marginal. So I searched "Sunkko 737g Spot Weld Modification" on YouTube and found the "City Viking" video very helpful. Upgrading the secondary winding of the spot welding transformer has doubled the performance and now allows for much better welding. This upgrade is what the manufacturer *should* do first.
