Very hard wood in woodwork
Bought these for wood medallions, they are very hard wood. Tried to drill pilot holes and the drill wouldn't go into the solid wood and split every time. If you look at it, it's oak, hardwood anyway, then the shape is semi-circular, a nail couldn't throw it. The only way to attach them is with strong glue. They are well made and smooth for a half circle.
