3m adhesive needs to be reformulated as these hangers only lasted 2 days before falling off and nothing was hanging. I followed the directions completely and, with low humidity and a constant temperature of around 75 degrees, I installed the hooks on two types of surfaces: the glass window and the finished/painted wall. In both cases I cleaned the surfaces, also with alcohol, and left them for two days before stressing them. Before I could put any weight on them, I went back and found both hooks on the floor. Looking at the replacement adhesive strips that came with it, I noticed that the tape was a lot thinner than the hooks I bought two years ago (which are still attached) and when I touched the tape it got sticky. It's been a very week. I decided to buy a second set through Revain to see if I got a bad batch but they also failed. Not recommended.
