I used this wire to add a three strand 18 inch fence extension to protect my suburban yard from coyotes. My toy poodle narrowly escaped two separate attacks from a cheeky coyote that effortlessly jumped my five foot fence. I was told that the coyotes would have to buy a paw to get over the fence and the three wire barrier should take away that purchase. So far it seems to be working, but I know how smart coyotes are, so don't leave our baby unattended. The wire itself is easy to work with, weather resistant and strong. I chose it over barbed wire because of its ease of use.
