Suitable for using Sony XM4 for Linux conferencing

My use case is pretty specific: I have a pair of Sony XM4 Bluetooth headphones that I want to use for Linux conferencing. Unfortunately, support for Bluetooth headsets with microphones on Linux leaves a lot to be desired, you only get poor quality HSP/HFP support. There doesn't seem to be a timeline for projects from PulseAudio, Bluez, etc. to address this issue. With this device I can get the SBC codec to work with the Sony XM4 (which doesn't support aptX if you're using non-Sony headphones). You will probably get aptX quality). SBC is still a better match for HSP/HFP for conferencing and good enough for my purposes. The configuration is a bit fiddly, but it works. Once paired, I double-clicked the side MFB button to put the device into talk mode (the blue light flashes rapidly) and flipped the top switch to the gaming position (although I don't know what this setting does to me, since I'm using an SBC). I don't know if this solution is suitable for gaming, but it's enough for conferences. The Sony XM4 doesn't support low latency codecs very well, so no adapter will solve this problem. Without 1 star for the overall rating (and 2 for the sound quality) due to the lack of LDAC support.
