3/8 damaged right out of the box. 2 are pretty badly chipped and 2 are varnished. One of them is very obviously used and drink stained because you can see the ring from the bottom of the cup. Very disappointed in them as I was so looking forward to this set and thought it was a steal for the price. Now I understand why. I ordered a "new" set and somehow ended up with a very clearly used one. I haven't looked closely at the other 5 to tell if they show any signs of wear, these 3 caught my eye when I took them out of the box.
