Review on πŸ”ͺ Kuhn Rikon 7.25” Red Serrated Piranha Swivel Peeler - Efficient Kitchen Tool by Emily Perkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The blade is serrated and long for large jobs.

I already had this model but it was many years old so I bought another one. Blade length, notch, sharpness and clearance were the same. While not technically ergonomic with finger grooves, the handle has a curve that provides a pretty good grip. The blade of the new shape had a slightly flatter curve, making the shell very thin. I felt like I would have to clean the same spot 3 more times to get the job done. I didn't know if it was an accident or a design change. I took my pliers and very gently squeezed the sides on each end of the blade to make it more curved (like the old model). It worked; The skin was thick enough that I didn't have to sort the sweet potato as often. Basically I am satisfied with this model.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • boring packaging
