I got fed up with my stock Niterider mount loosening while riding. I saw this, and while I think it should be a standard mount (not an optional one), I decided to go ahead and give it a try. The attachment is stable. It's good. However, on my stock Specialized (Roubaix) handlebars, I had to almost completely unthread them before I could attach the bracket. I didn't think it would fit, but it just did. The only thing that I think could be improved is replacing the screw (which seems to loosen over time) with a cam-type cam. This would be reliable and would not vibrate over time.
