The mount my Mako was supposed to come with.

My Niterider Mako flashlight came with a cheap, flimsy mount that limited the clamping force you could use to attach it to the handlebars by how hard you could squeeze a pair of interlocking plastic grommets together with your fingers . . The bean counters at Nightrider realized that a machined nut and bolt cost too much money to save a $35 lantern. The light kept sagging and I had to correct it while driving. Compatible with the Nightrider Mako, this mount features a screw-grip clip that…

Barely fits my stock Specialized handlebars

I got fed up with my stock Niterider mount loosening while riding. I saw this, and while I think it should be a standard mount (not an optional one), I decided to go ahead and give it a try. The attachment is stable. It's good. However, on my stock Specialized (Roubaix) handlebars, I had to almost completely unthread them before I could attach the bracket. I didn't think it would fit, but it just did. The only thing that I think could be improved is replacing the screw (which seems to loosen…

Holds tight to the bike, not to mention the light.

Holds the bike firmly (unlike the previous one), not very light. Over time, the latch that holds the light to the mounting rails gets a bit sloppy, which can cause the light to come loose if you're riding rough. What can be scary when you see your $100 flashlight hurtling down the street next to you, traffic stopping to prevent cars from colliding with a strange thing on the road, or a panicked cyclist trying to find a strange one thing to grab on the street. I don't think there is a better…

I struggled with it, but finally I got it. Now my right arm hurts a lot.

It would be nice if they gave simple instructions. Came with nothing. I couldn't understand it at first. My 31.8mm handlebar will not work with it as it was provided. I had to remove the rubber insert that was supposed to protect the steering wheel. I put a thin strip of tape on the handlebars to protect my carbon bike. You need to force the clamp to rotate to the position as shown in the picture, with the clamp facing down. For some reason my clamp would not rotate at all at first and it would

Great mount, bad company policy.

This product does not have to be purchased, but unfortunately it is. NiteRider delivers an absolutely superb Lumina 750 with a mount paired with a rubber strap that is virtually useless. Obviously, a good mount should hold the headlight in place, which the rubber version doesn't. So if you're spending $80 on a headlight that moves across the entire steering wheel, you're wondering what am I going to do? do ? It is very convenient that NiteRider sells the drug for around $12. From a product…

1 flashlight, 3 bikes for flashlights and reflectors

Two advantages of the Lumina 650 are a fairly long runtime and USB charging. With a couple of mounts, I can do a pre-dawn training ride and then turn on the lights on my bike for city rides. At work, I just charge the flashlight and use it on an evening pizza trip with my family. For very large diameter handlebars (31.8mm) you may need to unscrew the wing nut almost completely. Still, it compresses tight enough to fit true to size. Do not worry. If it didn't damage my very fancy carbon fiber…

Very secure bike mount

I have a NiteRider light and with the handlebar mount I was always wondering if it could fall off. Or he kept leaning down with every punch I landed. I decided to see if I could find a safer way to keep the light on the steering wheel and after some searching I found this. So far it seems to be working quite well. There was a time right after purchasing it that I was sure it wasn't going to work. The included rubber pad is very thick and allows the mount to press against the smaller handlebars…
