It would be nice if they gave simple instructions. Came with nothing. I couldn't understand it at first. My 31.8mm handlebar will not work with it as it was provided. I had to remove the rubber insert that was supposed to protect the steering wheel. I put a thin strip of tape on the handlebars to protect my carbon bike. You need to force the clamp to rotate to the position as shown in the picture, with the clamp facing down. For some reason my clamp would not rotate at all at first and it would not install. Once I got it spinning, I figured it out. The device is so durable that I notice my light is going nowhere. Find the specs for your bike by doing a google search and if you have 31.8mm handlebars this device will work but only if you follow my advice.
