Review on 🔥 YIHUA 995D Rework Soldering Station: Superior Performance for Precision Work by Jojo Howell

I had to replace a cheaper unit I bought from Revain last year because the hot air wand had melted on me. I was looking for a device that would allow the hot air component to be removed for easy removal when not in use or for easy replacement (spares available from Revain). The other features didn't really bother me. But I was surprised. It's like the same soldering iron and hair dryer, but with a larger LCD instead of LED numbers. But no, it's actually much better! Everything is better - and the soldering is so much better it's hard to believe. Hot air works great - I now use it for heat shrink tubing with the right heat setting. Which brings back memories for me. It's not that obvious how to program them, but once you get the hang of it you can set up the 3 memories with your preferred settings. This will come in handy. Need more heat for a grounded component? Just click the button to change the settings. Does it need to be heat shrunk? Or remove the SMD part? Press the button for the correct temperature. Very convenient. OK, you get the point: this device costs more than the cheap one I bought last year, but it turns out it was worth it!
