Soft but machinable - Gaskets and O-rings
They fit perfectly but we are very soft compared to the clear plastic washers they replaced. The application I use them for is washers/grommets on a shower door handle. In this case, these very pliable washers allow the metal handles to move easily within the hole. This may be perfectly acceptable for most people (perhaps even preferable depending on the application), but it's not very suitable for me. I need to find something that's tougher or less prone to kickback.
