Plug and play to use DSLR as webcam in OBS
I didn't use pass-through. My goal was to get my HDMI into OBS and it did just that. Attention: First check whether your DSLR or whatever camera you want to use outputs a live image via the HDMI output, not just playback. You can try this by first connecting the HDMI output to your TV or computer display. Anything you see on this screen can be output to OBS. It will appear there as a recording device.
