I was going to use screws but it turns out the glue is actually very strong. If the glue eventually rubs off I'll leave the screws on so it'll be fine either way. The self-adhesive back made installation very easy. I bought this for my wife to put my Kindle, phone and headphones on. Sometimes she even puts her keys there. They are fine and the shelf can take anything. This helps a lot because her phone often fell off her bedside table and she often didn't have enough space to put her Kindle down. She also often lost the remote control and headphones, but no more. This is a great way to get organized. You can even get two and use one for things like remotes and keys and another for tablets, phones, small books, etc. I am considering getting a second one for my side of the bed. If you find yourself with a small bedside table or are constantly losing your keys, phone, remote controls etc, I think you should try this.
