Good quality, best in craft

I bought this wax for my first attempt at candle making and was very happy with it. It melts very easily and is easy to wash. The burn time was also longer than I expected. I had issues with some of the tops giving a crystallized look as mentioned in some of the other reviews but I only used them at home so it wasn't a big issue for me.

Pros
  • Many will do
Cons
  • Minor issues

Something wrong. Is the wax old?

This wax looked clean and finished, but my cupcakes and candles didn't turn out well. I blamed myself and tried again this morning. I cannot sell this product after using it. Hardened wax crumbles and breaks. The color is terrible. Both applications were unsuccessful, but I used different flavors and colorings. I wasted time and money preparing for Christmas shopping. Now very disappointed in the company. The next day. Terrible. You must use a heating pad at home. lost time and money.

Clear wax, good for perfume but sometimes separated by fragrances

This wax works great for me because it's clean - fairly white and doesn't have a strong odor like some soy candle waxes. Only criticism is that it seems to vary from batch to batch - last time I bought it made nice candles with smooth finishes, but the last pack I bought has some separation issues when refrigerated (my candles have a curdled surface when chilled). , so it may not be suitable for selling candles. If you are a home lover and making candles for yourself, this wax will get the job…

Wonderful. on Crafting

I made pure soy, soy/paraffin, soy/coconut and soy/paraffin/cocon mix. Everything turned out beautiful. Pure soy kit with no problems. In the other two I learned to hold enough wax to fill in the tunnels and smooth out the tips. The first attempts had to be modified for mixtures. So expect to have to improve your mixes for shrinkage and dips/tunnels. A great product when you know that YOU are the cause of failure, not the product. It's no different than a baker who has to master a new oven…

Not sure what I received

I have never ordered candles from Revain but I did once because the suppliers were late with orders and I needed them immediately. I paid more than I normally pay for 10 pounds of wax because I needed it and it will arrive quickly. I have no idea what I got but it's not soy wax and certainly not 415. I was going to pour candles today and after melting it I was shocked to see this "soy wax" melted to a creamy yellow colour was. Sometimes soywax can appear cloudy when moisture is present, but…

This wax wasn't my favorite

So I'm new to candle making. However, I was all over the block and had great success selling my candles. I had to order this particular wax last week because I ran out of wax and I really needed it and this was delivered the next day. Wax wasn't terrible. But no matter how white it looked in the bag, when I had it melted down I got these brown dots coming out. I got scared thinking it was my bowl or stirrer. So I used a different one. no All the same. When I poured my candles (at the same…

This wax is beautiful and great if you're just starting out in candle making like me. I heat it up to 160 (to add the wax color) and then let it cool down to around 90-100 for pouring. I use hemp for my wick in 16 oz (pint size) 3 inch ball jars (cut out two pieces of hemp wick and twist them together with the metal tabs). Slow pouring really makes a difference as the wick is fixed and held firmly in place while the wax hardens. Don't waste your time or money with pre-made wicks with tabs, they

I love this wax

I love this wax. It melts easily, absorbs odors well and burns completely. I have used candles in my bedroom and living room for many years. I find scents help me relax, and when I'm stressed or have high blood pressure, I've found aromatherapy to do wonders for me. I've tried incense, potpourri, aromatic oil, and the like. But something about candles and flames just relaxes me. The problem I had with mass-produced candles was that even those that claim to be heavily scented were too mild for…
