ok i knew that for spares

I made it a rule months ago not to put my foot on the footrest after a good pipe fire and just stumbled across it as none is included or made for it pipe, so I have it. Garbage. A clamp broke while tightening. without a drill or extension cord that increases the torque on the screw. the other is tightened in the same way. Screwdriver, by hand, carefully, then a little more, that's all. it held up. good tight. but those brackets are such cheap Chinese metal pots that he couldn't stand it. There must be some level of tight FGS pinching the vibrating exhaust pipe. Don't loosen or you'll need to add a regular torque check to your maintenance schedule. As for the finish, everything is fine. For the price I think it has double dimples on each end where the clamp shackle is welded to the inside of the heat shield. not great but I might not notice if the clamps cost ____. All that happened was I put the clamp's retaining tabs on top of the tiny, thin, pointy tabs that hold them, so I flipped them over, took them off, and straightened them out. small retaining tabs that hold it in place but by bending the bottom tab of the clamps up a little and then lowering it broke it. now it's some crappy metal. So I either go back or I buy the clip(s) for it, which requires a trip to the store and searching. These clamps are designed to be tightened once, and that's where you need to tighten, but I didn't tighten them! about getting dressed. a retired mechanic and metalsmith who knows about clamping and bending metal and tensile strength, I think it's [CRA P.] crap crap crap. In fact, I think I and others would be willing to pay 3-4 times more for this end product of a design mold if some (or a lot) of it was put into a decent product that worked and lasted. It looks good and covers exactly what I need. and that is enough. and looks good for what it is. A few cents more per unit, you could make a big deal and get rave reviews, but you've taken the 'as cheap as possible' route with the maximum markup and I'm telling you this is the wrong route ____ .they make clamps with a small fold-out stop lever that prevents vibration loosening, eliminating the need to check it from time to time. and of course they break the other or both like me. A few dollars more?. Of course. pay me Most would be impressed if you included some good clips. I was expecting crappy brackets and in fact that's what I got. For example the GOOD clamps (with liner) that come with the good exhaust kits that I have on both of my bikes. And make double dimples at each end, they really stand out. Higher quality metal and slightly thicker here will not overheat/damage the front of the item, or maybe just a piece of reinforcement it is attached to will do. Things cost a fortune on bikes and we pay for everything all the time. Do better, turn on better clamps and charge me a lot more. It is in order. Please do better.
