The first cover I ordered failed within two weeks in our hot tub. There is a seam down the middle and it was not properly constructed. The seam failed and I had two separate pieces that no longer worked the way the product is supposed to work. At that point in time I would have given a 1 star rating. Fortunately the vendor responded quickly and sent me another cover free of charge, and I did not have to send back the first one. The new cover is clearly heavier material and the seam is much wider and is properly sealed. It has been in use for several weeks and shows no signs of weakening. The new cover works great and I am hopeful that it lasts a long time! Oh, and using this kind of cover really does make a difference by reducing heat loss and evaporation from your hot tub, when used with your regular cover. I am a believer.
