Pan control should fluctuate wildly
Solid feel, easy to use controls. I had kind of a problem and a big problem. The safety pin is in my way, removing it is a royal torture, maybe it was designed to give me a choice. Big problem, the pan adjustment works great BUT unless it's tight there is significant wobble; The choice is yours: smooth panning OR no wobbling. I use this for spotting scopes and precision rifle shooting. Panning is useful, but wobbling is terrible. If I could do it again, I wouldn't buy this model for that reason alone.
