Works well - perfect squares!

I'm not usually an ice cream lover, but this summer has been brutal. My family buys ice packs at least once a week, but I've found that the cubes are too big and tend to stick together, resulting in everyone having to hit them with something like a hammer to break them apart. Beloved, throw the bag on the ground several times to break it apart. This cube generator is much cleaner (and quieter) and the cubes are just the perfect size. The container holds up to a full tray of cubes, so you can keep getting more done in the silicone top as you go down. punch cubes into the sheet metal. But that's my problem, not the manufacturer's. Another downside (if you can call it that) is that the lid isn't a snap-on lid. I don't understand how they can attach the lid on the silicone tray with the dice, so nothing wrong with that. Even though the silicone portion of the cube isn't on the plastic mount, the lid only sits on top - the lid doesn't snap on the bottom either. But unless that jig doesn't swing around your freezer, I don't see a need for the top to snap at all. Sometimes the lid would get frosty when I took it out of the freezer and the frost would prevent the lid from closing tightly, but that's because my freezer is in the Arctic Circle, so I just scrape off the frost and don't do anything else. problems. The cubes come out evenly and are the perfect size to fit in any container. I've even put them in my Tall Amusement Park Drink Cups (cough, cough, sea world, cough, cough) with a long straw and they fit perfectly. Large cubes in pouches were sometimes too sticky to fit into the narrow opening. The little shovel they give with this item holds three cubes in a row (you could shovel more but I'm not a digger so three at a time worked really well for me). So far, so good. The family can spend their money and hit the ice pack on the ground as much as they want. I'm sticking with this guy and making my own little perfectly square cubes.
