Review on Leda Art Supply Mixed-Media Pad 2 Pack (48 Pages), Ideal for Watercolor, Acrylic or Oil Painting, Marker and Ink Art, Italian Art Paper, A3 Size 11.5 x 16.5 by Morgan Gilmore

I collect different papers to work with different art mediums as I develop new art styles. This set of pads seemed like a good idea to me. I'm so glad I got it. This is important because if it rains during shipping and you leave it wet until the box gets wet, at least your pads will be protected. PAPER QUALITY This is a mixed paper but I have used it for Caran D'Ache Neocolor II (water soluble) pencils and various watercolors. I also plan to use colored pencil on this one too. The quality so far is excellent. Some blending techniques don't lend themselves well to watercolors, but this one really does. There are enough dips to make a colored puddle if you have granules too. TEXTURE This is definitely a texture similar to cold pressed watercolor paper. In these small paintings I made many layers of color and also scratched the paper and applied different layers. I was able to highlight the colors for a great 3D look. CAN YOU USE BOTH SIDES? Both sides of this paper are usable, so you can easily use more of the paper surface if you want. cover back easily. I like that I can use a water medium on it without warping or soaking much. The texture is perfect and I can also easily peel off the paint if I want to. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. Leda is one of my favorite paper companies. I have tried several of their papers and they are all really good. This mixed technique is no exception.
