Review on Ultimate Ironing Experience: Golden Hands GH111 Ironing Board Cover, 15 by 48-Inch by Randy Jagers

But it fits! Suitable for irons and steam irons

This large ironing board cover is hard to find and not available for purchase at my local store. This cover is perfect for custom sized ironing boards; However, the fabric is not that good and there is no cord tensioner attached to it. It works and will be fine. It also has no overlay. but not expected for the price. I made a pattern with the pattern of this cover while it was new and flat before placing it on the ironing board. Then I cut out a much better fabric that had a good sewing shop print (yarn, bobbins, etc) and was quilted, and I used elastic instead of rope to tighten. all this made it much more durable. As long as the lid is off. I cut out the pattern of the top of the ironing board and made my own lining (the thickness that suits me) and now I have a very good cover and lining. While doing this I made a second one to use when removing the first for ironing. I now keep the original and my template for future covers in case they are hard to find again. old. With this template I can now adjust the thickness to suit my applications and needs. Also, ironing board covers are not always appealing in quality and design so they can be made to fit a sewing workshop if your board is open most of the time. In any case, there is something to consider.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
