Basically I got this because my cats kept walking on my laptop. Since the computer is on, they almost never walk across it unless my desk is too cluttered to walk across. Since they have to lift their body to get up, I can knock them down before they can put their weight down. I like how it adjusts because it allows me to change my posture. Holes on the bottom also keep the laptop cool. It also frees up space on my desk to store things that don't fit anywhere else.
