Review on 🔧 LEATHERMAN Surge Heavy Duty Multitool - 830278, with Replaceable Wire Cutters and Scissors, Black, MOLLE Sheath Included by Michael Briggs

Bought this tool to replace a Wave that was seized by the TSA (sorry I forgot it was in my laptop backpack). Surge is significantly heavier but more durable than Wave. I chose the Surge because of the T-shank replacement blades, replacement pliers and better scissors. Although the cost is a little high, I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. They should last for many, many years with proper care (and assuming I don't leave them in my carry-on!). The reason I mentioned excellent customer service is because the item description mentions a leather case; I received the vinyl. Nothing special, but I've had good luck with leather in the past. For example, a quick email from NetRush asking for a leather case in exchange for a vinyl case was very politely answered and told to keep the vinyl case. So five stars to the seller :) Pros: Legendary Leatherman quality Replaceable blades Replaceable wire cutters Great scissors Cons: Blade change is a bit difficult to open even after using 3-in-1 oil No micro screwdriver (was one of the most useful tools on the Wave)
