Claiming 5GB, 2A speed compatibility, this adapter lets you extend the length of the USB 3 cable several devices of this class for large runs up to scanners, mice and keyboards. (Usually some weird wiring issue around shelves or furniture). They work great as long as the overall cable length doesn't get too crazy.
