First impressions are that this smart bulb is awesome! Out of the box it worked great. I put a light bulb in the lamp, turned on the switch and it lit up. I used my phone and connected to the WiFi network it started broadcasting, opened a web browser and entered the address given in the instructions. I got a list of Wi-Fi networks found, I clicked mine and entered the password. The lamp "rebooted" and connected to my network and my phone switched back. I opened Home Assistant and it said it found a new device. I clicked add and it's connected and allows me to turn the lightbulb on and off, change the brightness, change the color temperature (how blue/white or yellow the light is) and also change the color to different colors like Red to change green , blue. , add purple. Everything with the only configuration was to connect it to my WiFi and then click the "Add in Home Assistant" button! It runs ESPHome so you can tweak a ton of other settings. The instructions say it supports Tasmota firmware or any Esp8266 firmware and tells you which GPIO pins connect to which colors so you can set what you need in the new firmware. THE BEST SMART LIGHT! Worked out of the box in my setup and WITHOUT an online server to mine data or collect my info! This lightbulb is flexible enough to be configured to work with other online systems.
