Bought a LED bulb that is USB powered. But the lamp only has three fixed brightness levels. The motor speed controller works great at 5V and the light only draws 1A at full brightness. I modified my controller to remove the switch from the included potentiometer. So turning the knob now only affects the brightness of the lamp and I get a full 0 to 100% duty cycle. I have a small separate on/off toggle switch that allows me to adjust the brightness and keep it on. Now I don't have to change the brightness setting to turn the lamp on or off. I will be buying more of these for other LED lamp projects in the future.
