When these pliers first came out I thought they wouldn't work as they are so small but they are great! The flat side goes under the waffle and helps gently remove each waffle without falling apart. They are easy to clean and the slide lever allows you to lock them in place to keep them closed. Red is fun too! For years I have used regular tongs to remove waffles from a waffle maker and the waffles get stuck or fall apart. With these pliers, the situation is different. This is one of those great kitchen tools you didn't know you needed until you had it!
