Review on πŸ“ Fiskars SureCut Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer 12 Inch - Precise Cutting Tool for Crafts & Scrapbooking by Kelly Caballes

Fold the paper along the edge; Blade dulls quickly.

I am very disappointed with this paper cutter. The blade needs to be replaced after I've made about 15 cards. Then it starts to make jagged edges and I have to use a nail file to try to get rid of any scuffs. It doesn't always work. For me the worst design feature is that there is a wider channel where the blade goes over the edge of the paper than any other paper cutter I have used. The paper comes out with a folded edge because it's being pushed into a larger channel. I have to use a bone folder to smooth it out. A nice feature is that the platform runs to the right of the blade. This is useful for making narrow cuts in cardboard. I've had the trimmer for half a year, I had to change the blade three times. There are two packs of replacement blades so I've used up six replacement blades in six months - it costs more than the price of the trimmer itself. I'm buying a self-sharpening guillotine cutter. It only costs a few dollars more than this. I never have to buy replacement blades and the cuts come out cleaner and sharper. I wouldn't recommend this for cutting cardboard.
