Installed Samsung Evo SSD on my 2012 MacBook Pro
I used this to install a second Samsung Evo SSD on my 2012 MacBook Pro for video editing. I bought the 1TB version, followed some instructions on YouTube and it was very easy. I already have a 500GB Samsung SSD as my boot drive, now I have a second drive on the same computer. External use was annoying with plugging and unplugging. Plus, I don't have to worry about taking my external drive with me everywhere. Therefore, the second hard drive in the car is more suitable for my needs. FIRST, DON'T FORGET TO FORMAT THE DISK ON YOUR COMPUTER. USE AN EXTERNAL ENCLOSURE OR SATA USB PORT (WHICH I USED). YOUR COMPUTER WILL NOT READ THE DISK UNLESS YOU FORMAT IT. I FORMAT MAC OS EXTENDED JOURNALED. THEN I INSTALLED THE COMPUTER AND IT CAN READ AND WRITE.
