The sticky suction cup doesn't stick to the dashboard of my 2001 BMW 325i and the supplied adhesive pad comes off after a few days. The base bracket holds the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 fairly well, but if you need to keep your hand low, the ball joint makes it difficult to get the right angle. When I flipped it over to mount it on the windshield, I couldn't adjust it to keep the tablet at a decent viewing angle. Overall the build is solid and unless you have a really textured dashboard it can work just fine, but even the soft silicone rubber suction cups can't handle even a fairly modest texture.
