I was looking for an inverter for a caravan to power my AC fridge on the go. I calculated that I would need about 260W of 12V DC (including inefficiencies) to power a 200W AC fridge. I connected this inverter directly to my trailer battery. This product contains two fuses, one for input and one for output, but an extra fuse on the power line is not a bad idea. The kit includes both clips for the battery and an adapter for a 12V socket.On the block itself, each option is attached with screw terminals. They also allow for custom wiring, as I did in my situation, to disconnect the battery immediately. The device itself is quiet and pretty cool. I have it installed in a closed compartment and I ride in the summer heat and it doesn't bother me at all running at almost 75% power. USB sockets are also a great addition. Overall I like this inverter and the ability to run AC devices from a DC source.
