Bought this item to help remove dust and pet hair that static builds up on my vinyl records. handle when rotated to the closed position. The bristles are also very soft and definitely won't scratch the record. Cons: The bristles are probably too soft. They do not remove particles/hair/dust easily and some pressure must be applied. However, at only about 1/2 inch long, you don't have a lot of bristles to work with. But probably the worst part of the brush design is that the part where the bristles attach has sharp, square corners. With this brush, it doesn't take long to scratch the panel with those corners. Basically, it's just a poorly thought out design. I will definitely switch it to a felt brush.
