Review on Nokian Tires Nordman RS2 185/65 R15 92R winter by Micha Dobrzyski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The right product for me, the price suited me.

Car Ford Focus 2 restyled 2.0l automatic transmission. Hong Kong. My first winter tire without studs, so it's hard to compare. Completely different tires than those with spikes. Objectively, the characteristics of driving on snow (especially when there is a lot) and ice are worse. But! As soon as everything melts and the wet, rainy and near-zero St. Petersburg winter sets in, you understand that you have made the right decision. I bought it for a trip to Hungary, and there, as you know, you can’t use spikes. Super tires for Europe. Spikes are not needed there. On good, even, dry and clean roads - generally fire (it's a pity in our country there is one or one and a half) Very quiet. Absolutely predictable, like serials on NTV. Braking is excellent, everything is clear. Despite the fact that there were 4 people in the car and a full trunk, it braked several times from the slides - as if rooted to the spot. Snow-covered yards, ice, country roads in snowdrifts - this is a disaster. Wouldn't recommend these tires if you don't have ABS and ESP. I would definitely not recommend it for residents of the suburbs and the north (in fact, where there is a lot of snow, ice and bears). ESP always works in snow. Braking distance on ice is very dangerous. In general, Peter will do. As soon as winter begins in winter and all the consequences - be careful. This is certainly not summer tires, but still not spikes, on ice and snow .

Pros
  • Noise is much less than from summer Michelin Primacy. Quite predictable. Over 5000 km, no defects were found. 8 wear indicator, like new. Dry asphalt keeps well at +5 to -20, speed up to 160 km / h (I didn’t accelerate faster)
Cons
  • All problems start with snow. This rubber - snow can not be defeated. The deeper the snow, the worse. If snow on ice - generally a pipe. In ice, braking is exceptionally sucky (I didn’t count on anything else) Swims at positive temperatures - not critical, you get used to it.
