I ran 3/4 inch 200psi plastic conduit into the wall to hide the wiring above my chimney and used it to power the duct (plastic conduit) from the outlet to my TV. Adding a real power outlet around the fireplace would be a big undertaking, and I also wanted to hide the HDMI cables, so this 12-foot power cord is perfect. The cable is nice and flexible and doesn't feel like cheap plastic. Use a rotary rasp on the inside of the 2 plastic 45 degree pipe corners as the connector will not go through a standard 90 degree bend but that is not a problem.
