I have used plastic bags for kitchen waste for many years. They worked great but plastic pollution is out of control and plastic bags are banned in my city. So I started looking for replacement bags. There are some really cheap plastic bags out there, but I've seen what their pollution has done to our oceans and sea creatures. I remember arguing with a teacher as a school girl about throwing garbage in the sea is not good! Master reasoned with me that I heard from others that the ocean is HUGE and our garbage will have no effect! So my teacher was wrong! But I always knew. I don't have any children of my own but I still worry about the world we are leaving behind and the damage we have done to the environment! So biodegradable is the way to go for me. Of course it costs more, but there are animals in the oceans that will survive because I spent a few extra dollars to save them and our planet! And future generations CAN inherit a better world.
