This fan is great. and it works fine. It took me and my dad (who has installed many fans in the past) about 1.25 hours to do this, but that's only because the instructions that came with the fan were for a completely different fan! Luckily we were able to figure it out and didn't have to modify any parts to make it work. A word of wisdom - place the fan blades on the main body before adding light. The only thing that bothers me is how bright the light is - it's PERFECTLY WHITE. Like the sky is pouring white rain on you. So I'm not sure how often we'll be using the lighter batch. All in all a very stylish fan. Will most likely buy another one.
