Review on ๐Ÿš€ SRAM S300 Courier Crankset: Achieve Optimal Speed and Precision by Mike Starling

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good product, poor factory assembly.

Nice and solid. Much less flex than the cranks they replaced. The problem was in the chain. It wasn't perfectly centered on the crank. So it's not perfectly concentric and has vibrations. It's so bad that the chain goes from tight to 1 inch loose in just 1/4 turn. This would be easy to adjust but as some others have said the sprocket bolts cannot be removed. I'm planning on getting a big chain so I'll get to that. Otherwise the stiff chain was in place with no side to side play and looked fine. The cranks themselves weigh about the same as the originals, but the combination of hollow spindle and external BB cup weighs a lot less than the square BB cone that was on the bike. As soon as I change the chain, I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Good but not great
