Review on ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Premium Series Fixed Flat Panel Mount Black for 51-70 inch TVs: Sanus VLL5-B1 by Jimmy Jefferson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I just installed this and would like to share some information that didn't seem right.

I have just installed this and would like to share information which from what I have read does not appear to be correct. First, this is a good quality mount. It's durable and does what it's supposed to. My main concern was that the TV is so close to the wall that my cables (2 HDMI and 1 optical) running through the back of the TV were a problem. This prevented the TV from "snapping in" as there was no room with cables attached. To do this, I had to buy angled HDMI adapters, which solved the problem. I'm really not sure how anyone said it wasn't a problem for them. The second thing that's a bit annoying is when you pull out the bottom of the TV to plug it in, it has 2 "stops" on the back. Brackets for the TV that allow you to move it away from the wall for wiring. That's certainly handy, but there are a few problems: First, they don't retract very well on their own when you want to return the TV to the locked position. I had to put them down by hand, which can be really annoying when working alone as they keep wanting to stay open. Second, probably due to the weight of my TV, those same props were making holes in my drywall. I would have thought this could be fixed with a better design instead of making them look like pilings on the wall. You have to see it hitting the wall to understand it, but they're basically hitting the wall like 2 pencils on each side supporting the weight of the TV. They bumped into the wall. . Of course he's behind the TV and you'll never see him, but he still annoys me. Finally, this mount was my top choice for my TV on the Sanus Mount Finder website. So I assumed I was done. But when I started the installation, all the screws that came with it were too short to install the brackets on the back of my TV. I had to run to the hardware store to get new bolts/screws. A bit annoying as this mount was specifically recommended by Sanus for my TV model. In addition, the attachment is excellent. Equipment and instructions are clear and of high quality. I would definitely buy one again.
